At Shining Light we offer tailored support services to children and young people living with disabilities. We believe in high quality staffing for best practice supports. 

Our support workers are supervised by a clinical team and receive on going professional training to meet the individual needs of the people we support.

Shining Light offers a range of services to families including; in home support, social support functional skill assessments/development, in home respite, Behaviour Management Plan development.

Shining Light are looking for motivated support workers with an interest in supporting children and young people living with disabilities to meet their goals and develop their functional skills. 

Shining Light pay above award rates and are flexible with employees other commitments (i.e. families, studying and other employment).

To be considered for this opportunity you must already have:

• Experience in the field of community/disability/child/youth services.
  
• A minimum certificate III or above in Youth Work, Community Services, Disability, Education or the equivalent or studying towards a tertiary qualification.
  
• Medication Administration Accreditation.
  
• A current Full SA Drivers Licence (provisional licences such as "P Plates" will not be considered as a full licence)
  
• A reliable vehicle (and willing to transport supported people if required).
  
• DCSI clearances (current): child related, disability, vulnerable people.
  
• Child Safe Environments Certificate (current)
  
• First Aid Certificate & CPR (current)
  
• Smart phone (to access online rosters and shift reports)
  
• Availability to work across a flexible roster.

Not required but desirable:- 

• RAN (Report Abuse and Neglect) Certificate.
• A roadworthy certificate for your own vehicle.
